Pacific Workspaces (PAC) has opened a new coworking space in Midtown Phoenix at 3838 N. Central Ave., expanding its roster to 18 locations in total for the San Francisco-based operator. The new site also marks a further move outside of its cluster of sites in northern California after the company opened a space in Las Vegas last year.

Midtown Phoenix has established a reputation for its dynamic business landscape alongside cultural highlights and supportive infrastructure, such as the Valley Metro Rail that connects the business district to downtown and the international airport.

The new coworking space adds to an already strong coworking scene in Phoenix. In fact, in a study last year that calculated the number of coworking spaces per metro, Phoenix ranked 15th in the country with 133 — just one space shy of San Francisco.

Pacific Workplaces’ new space is located in City Square — a three-tower office complex with an on-site hotel, restaurants, fitness center and retail plaza. Meanwhile, the owner of the building, Barker Pacific, is a familiar partner of Pacific Workplaces as the two firms work together on projects in California and Nevada.

Comprising more than 13,000 square feet, the coworking space features virtual office services supported by PAC’s on-site administrative staff, as well as open working areas, meeting rooms, business lounges and private offices. In addition to the amenities, the new space will also offer workshops and networking events.
