Trammel Crow Knox Street Project Gets $619M Construction Loan
Plano, Texas-based private financial institution Beal Bank recently announced that it had originated construction financing of more than $619 million for the Uptown Dallas project that’s under development by Trammell Crow Company (TCC), MSD Partners, Highland Park Village Associates, and The Retail Connection.
Located next to the iconic Katy Trail and the nearby town of Highland Park, the Knox Street mixed-use development will deliver a nine-story office building with ground-floor and second-story retail and restaurant space, as well as a 140-key hotel. Plans also call for a residential component that will include a 173-unit multifamily tower rising nearly 30 stories.
The office building accounts for 150,000 square feet of top-tier Dallas office space above two floors of more than 100,000 square feet of retail and restaurants. Locally based ISN Software Corporation has signed on as anchor office tenant and has leased the top four floors. Amenities at the boutique office building include a fitness center with high-end locker rooms, a tenant lounge, and a café. In total, the four-acre development will incorporate 1 million square feet of built space and a landscaped plaza. It’s expected to open in 2026.
