Fort Garry Place is located next to The Fort Garry Hotel, one of Winnipeg’s most recognizable landmarks due to its remarkable Chateau-style architecture which was recognized as a National Historic Site of Canada in 1981. The hotel was constructed by Canadian railway companies between 1911 to 1913 to entice tourists to explore their transcontinental routes. The construction of Fort Garry Place commenced in October 1986.
