Built in 1897 by Joseph Bamlet, a stone mason, The Capitol Square Building is a very early example of Classical Revival architecture a block off Woodward Ave. One of Capitol Park's most distinctive commercial buildings, situated at the southwest corner of Griswold Street and Grand River Avenue.
