Scout Motors is a subsidiary company of Volkswagen that is designated for the design, engineering and production of the next generation of innovative offroad capable, all-electric trucks and rugged SUVs. Their 1,160-acre development project is set to begin construction by the end of 2023 and be ready to start production in 2026. This new plant is estimated to employ about 4,000 workers including around 400 salaried job positions and 600 workers to be relocated to the Midlands.
