MCR Development LLC is celebrating again the successful renovation of a hotel in Baltimore. A few weeks ago, the hotel owner and operator said it finished work on the 131-room Residence Inn Baltimore White Marsh. Now, New York-based MCR Development announced it has successfully completed a full renovation of the Hampton Inn Baltimore Downtown Convention Center.

As with the Residence Inn Baltimore White Marsh, MCR Development did not disclose how much it invested in the renovation of the Hampton Inn Baltimore Downtown Convention Center. It has revealed, however, that the project featured a total redesign of the hotel’s lobby and guestrooms.

The Hampton Inn Baltimore Downtown Convention Center’s new Perfect Mix lobby has an innovative, contemporary design and provides an open floor plan with plenty of space to help guests relax. In addition, it features many sports-themed additions such as baseball glove seating, baseball-themed floor tiles, and baseball bat lighting. The hotel is located right across the street from Oriole Park at Camden Yards. It is also adjacent to the Baltimore Convention Center and close to other key destinations like the University of Maryland Medical Center, M&T Bank Stadium and the city’s historic Inner Harbor.

All of the Hampton Inn Baltimore Downtown Convention Center’s 126 guestrooms have been renovated. They now feature new carpeting and contemporary artwork, in addition to the free WiFi and flat-screen TVs. Other amenities include a business center, a fitness center, a heated indoor pool, and function rooms with space for up to 60 people.

MCR Development is one of the largest hotel owners and operators in the United States. The company’s portfolio includes 68 hotel properties, with approximately 8,000 rooms, in 18 states. It operates hotels under 10 brands.
