Set to occupy a 5.46-acre plot of land at the community, the new hospital will total roughly 49,000 square feet of space. HealthSouth Corporation will build a 40-bed facility that will provide inpatient physical rehabilitation to patients that have experienced strokes, trauma, brain injury, complex orthopedic conditions, and other ailments.

Construction at the facility is slated to begin during the year’s fourth quarter. Completion is slated for fourth quarter 2017. The result will be a “state-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital that can be expanded to 80 beds and will offer comprehensive inpatient physical rehabilitation programs,” HealthSouth’s Southwest Region President Frank Brown noted in a press statement.
