IndianapolisHFF recently announced its latest Indianapolis office addition with the recruitment of industry veteran John Merrill as senior managing director. Merrill will co-head the office alongside Senior Managing Director David Keller, while also leading the company’s local investment sales platform.

Prior to joining HFF, Merrill led CBRE’s Indianapolis office, serving as managing director for more than five years. He has worked for CBRE for almost two decades, having joined the regional arm in 1996 to establish its local commercial investment properties group. During this time, he managed to close in excess of $2.5 billion in sales in the Midwest area. Merrill’s track record also includes positions with Duke Realty (seven years as VP & treasurer) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (three years as audit senior). He is also on the regional board of directors at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Indiana Chapter, the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis, BOMA’s Indiana Chapter and NAIOP’s Indiana Chapter. He graduated from Indiana State University’s Scott College of Business in 1984.

“John has been the person we have focused on and pursued for quite some time and could not be a better match. We look forward to the contributions and growth he will bring to our Indianapolis and Midwest investment sales platform,” said Keller in prepared remarks.
