San Antonio—GM Financial is building a 100,000-square-foot financial service center on San Antonio’s Far West Side, to accommodate up to 700 employees, a great majority of whom will be new hires.
Located at 3302 N. Ellison Drive, the facility will be constructed on 13.8 acres of land off of Raymond E. Stotzer Freeway.
“GM Financial chose this particular area of San Antonio due to the community’s strong and growing employment base, the close proximity to major highways, as well as because the site provides us the opportunity to build a facility that will enhance our employee experience,” Mike Duskin, GM Financial senior vice president of corporate administration, told Commercial Property Executive.
The company reported that the facility’s total economic output could reach approximately $333 million during its first 10 years of operation.
The facility will be GM Financial’s fifth service center in North America, and joins other GM Financial and General Motors facilities and operations elsewhere in Texas, including an assembly plant in Arlington.
“GM Financial is committed to providing remarkable service and a best-in-class customer experience to earn customers for life,” Scott Dishman, GM Financial executive vice president, servicing, told CPE. “As our portfolio of loans and leases grows, we will continue to review and strategically expand our servicing platform, adding capacity as needed.”
Construction is slated to begin in early 2016 and the company plans to begin occupying the building in Spring 2017.
