Saks OFF 5TH Enters D.C. Market

The first Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5TH store will open in Washington, D.C., this fall.

Washington—Saks Fifth Avenue has revealed plans to open a new Saks OFF 5TH store in the heart of Washington, D.C., in the fall.

The new 33,000-square-foot Saks store will be located at 555 12th St., N.W., within the historical Thurman Arnold Building, and will mark the brand’s entry into the Washington, D.C., market. The store will feature a blend of designer fashion, accessories and footwear for both men and women, with offerings from more than 800 brands.

“We are thrilled to finally introduce Saks OFF 5TH to shoppers in the nation’s capital,” Jonathan Geller, president of HBC Off-Price, said in a prepared statement. “At Saks OFF 5TH, we strive to deliver a thrill of the hunt shopping experience to every person who comes through our door, and we believe our exciting designer merchandise combined with the amazing value and unique store experience we offer truly resonate with residents and visitors in the District of Columbia.”

Saks Fifth Avenue is an American department store chain owned by the Hudson’s Bay Co., with a main flagship store located on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
