New York—Canadian manufacturer of Arctic luxury apparel Canada Goose will open its first two standalone stores in the fall. The flagship locations are set to open in the Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto and on Wooster Street in New York City’s buzzing SoHo district.

“Opening our own stores is something I’ve always dreamed of,” Dani Reiss, president & CEO of Canada Goose, said in prepared remarks. “It’s an exciting new chapter in our evolution from a small outerwear manufacturer nearly 60 years ago, to the only truly global, Canadian luxury apparel retailer.”

The stores will span more than 4,000 square feet each and will offer a full assortment of every seasonal collection in ‘the largest variety of colors and sizes anywhere in the world’. The new stores will also present select vintage pieces from the company’s 60-year-old archives.

The company has also created an in-depth brand immersion program allowing employees to become brand ambassadors. The program includes employee tours at one of four Canada Goose factories, the company’s collaboration with Polar Bears International in Churchill, Manitoba, and the opportunity to be part of an Arctic community at a Canada Goose Resource Centre event, among other benefits.

“There’s no other brand like Canada Goose and that’s something people will feel as soon as they step into our stores. This is our opportunity to bring more of Canada – and Canada Goose – to the world,” stated Reiss.

Founded nearly six decades ago in Toronto, Canada Goose employs more than 1,000 people worldwide, in top location such as New York City, London, Milan, Paris and Tokyo. The company is a long-time partner of Polar Bears International and recognized for its Made in Canada commitment.
