Interstate Hotels & Resorts Appoints New Chief HR Officer
Jane Blake brings more than 25 years of experience in human resources leadership roles, primarily in hospitality.
Washington—Interstate Hotels & Resorts recently announced the appointment of a new chief human resources officer. Jane Blake joins the company’s executive team and will report directly to CEO Jim Abrahamson.
In her new position, Blake will be responsible for all aspects of human resources management and development for Interstate’s 30,000 associates, servicing hotel owners and hotel staff relevant to operations, talent acquisition and development, compensation, benefits, human capital information systems, human resources compliance, labor and associate relations.
Bringing more than 25 years of experience leading corporate human resources teams, primarily in hospitality, Blake has been with Interstate since 2014, most recently serving as interim head of human resources. Prior to joining Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Blake served in human resources senior leadership capacities for the Marcus Corp. and La Quinta Corp.
“A valuable addition to our executive team, Jane’s extensive experience and success at Interstate have appropriately prepared her for this role,” said Abrahamson in prepared remarks. “She will lead a strong group of human resources professionals and develop the people side of Interstate in support of our global growth at our corporate offices and our hotels around the world. Blaje earned her B.A. in Business Management and her MBA from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wis.
