Atlanta—Home2 Suites by Hilton has announced its newest property, Home2 Suites by Hilton Atlanta Downtown. The nine-floor hotel located at 87 Walton St. features 128 suites and is managed by McKibbon Hospitality.
By converting the existing building, which was built in 1910, to the current Home2 Suites by Hilton property, the asset retained its historic architecture, terrazzo flooring and marble stairs. It is located near several major local attractions including Centennial Olympic Park, the World of Coca-Cola, the CNN Center and the Georgia Aquarium. The hotel is also 10 miles away from the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.
“We are pleased that the newest Home2 Suites by Hilton is opening in a key downtown location in Atlanta,” said Adrian Kurre, global head at Home2 Suites by Hilton. “Not only is this a perfect location for guests visiting the city, but it continues the brand’s footprint expansion into thriving, urban areas.”
Home2 Suites by Hilton Atlanta Downtown offers guests all-suite accommodations featuring fully-equipped kitchens and modular furniture, allowing guests to personalize their room. Further amenities include complimentary internet, inviting community spaces, and trademark Home2 Suites amenities such as Spin2 Cycle, a combined laundry and fitness area, a rooftop patio and Home2 MKT for grab-and-go items. Guests can enjoy the Inspired Table, a complimentary breakfast that includes more than 400 potential combinations. The hotel is also pet-friendly.
Hilton plans to open a flagship hotel in Cleveland and a Canopy by Hilton in Portland by 2017, and recently opened a Hilton Garden Inn in Minneapolis.
