Chicago—Laurus Corp. recently completed the $7.6 million renovation and repositioning of the 362-key Renaissance Chicago O’Hare Suites Hotel. Located 3 miles from O’Hare International and surrounded by 7 million square feet of Class A commercial office space, the upscale property offers quick access to major corporations and entertainment venues.
The 15-story hotel underwent a major renovation process, including the addition of two concierge levels, restaurant, Starbucks coffee shop, full-service business center, and more than 21,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The building’s new look also features an open lobby with stylized areas and a library nook.
“The Chicago Renaissance is a great fit for the Laurus portfolio, as we were able to draw on strong underlying market fundamentals and maximize the hotel’s earning potential through strategic upgrades that truly appeal to the business, upscale and leisure travelers it serves,” said Jean Paul Szita, president and co-founder of Laurus Corp., in prepared remarks.
