New YorkHyatt Hotels Corp. recently announced that three hotels within the company’s portfolio are transitioning to the Hyatt Centric brand from the Hyatt brand, accelerating Hyatt Centric’s growth. The hotels include Hyatt Centric French Quarter New Orleans, Hyatt Centric Times Square New York and Hyatt Centric Key West Resort & Spa.

“These hotels mark significant momentum for the Hyatt Centric brand as we continue with our expansion plans and enter prime destinations where we know our guests are traveling,” said Stephen Haggerty, global head of capital strategy, franchising and select service, Hyatt. “New Orleans, New York City and Key West are ideal markets in which the Hyatt Centric brand can continue its growth and connect with guests in the upper-upscale lifestyle segment.”

Hyatt Centric French Quarter New Orleans, which was re-branded this month from Hyatt French Quarter New Orleans, is located in the heart of the French Quarter, in close proximity to signature attractions such as Bourbon Street, Jackson Square, jazz clubs, House of Blue and Royal Street. The hotel consists of 254 residential-style guestrooms and more than 10,660 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space. Additional amenities include a hotel bar and two restaurants.

Hyatt Centric Times Square New York, which is expected to be re-branded late this October, offers 487 apartment-style guestrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows featuring unique views of New York City’s skyline. Amenities include a rooftop bar, restaurant, business center, fitness center and a spa. The hotel is located just around the corner from Times Square and Broadway.

Hyatt Centric Key West Resort & Spa is also located in a prime location near the Gulf of Mexico, and the historic Old Town. The waterfront hotel, which is expected to be re-branded early this November, offers 118 guestrooms with private balconies, spa services and a 24-hour fitness center, among other services.

The Hyatt Centric brand was launched in 2015 and started to expand its reach in early 2016. This expansion included the re-branding of three U.S. hotels and the opening of two international hotels. The re-branded hotels are located in Long Beach, Calif.; Park City, Utah; and Houston, Texas. Other Hyatt Centric hotels in the U.S. are located in Chicago; San Francisco; Santa Barbara, Calif.; and Miami. One of the international hotels is located in Montevideo, Uruguay. Hyatt announced further plans to expand with the opening of Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach (Waikiki, Hawaii), Hyatt Centric Barbados, Carlisle Bay (Bridgetown, Barbados), and Hyatt Centric Ginza Tokyo (Tokyo, Japan), all scheduled for early 2018.
