New YorkSL Green Realty Corp., the largest commercial property owner in New York, has announced the signing of a 308,115-square-foot lease with Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY), the largest not-for-profit healthcare organization in the country.

The organization will occupy part of the ground and concourse level, part of the second and seven floors, and the entire third, fifth and sixth floors within the News Building at 220 E. 42nd St.

Tara Stacom, David Green, Louis Wolfowitz and Mark Todrys of Cushman & Wakefield represented VNSNY in the lease deal.

VNSNY previously occupied a 320,000-square-foot space at 1250 Broadway. The new location, which features turnkey installation, will serve as a centralized headquarters for the company, while the large floor plates, ranging in size from 7,000 to 73,000 square feet, will enable it to run its operations more efficiently.

“This was a complicated transaction requiring the consolidation of numerous spaces, the creation of a private tenant lobby and significant upgrade to certain building infrastructure to support the tenant’s high density occupancy,” Steven Durels, executive vice president & director of leasing and real property for SL Green, said in prepared remarks.
