San Antonio—Peak Campus of Atlanta, Ga. announced it has been awarded and assumed property management of two student housing communities in Texas. Together, the two properties encompass more than 1,000 beds.
The properties are The Reserve, a 753-bed student housing community serving the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and Warehouse and Factory Apartments at Northgate, a 265-bed community serving Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
The Reserve is minutes away from the campus, while also in close proximity to downtown entertainment venues. The 249-unit community offers newly-renovated two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments with different floor plan options. All of them have private bathrooms and patios, as well as walk-in closets. Common area amenities include a renovated clubhouse with game rooms and a movie theater, resort-style pool with sundeck, hot tubs, outdoor fire pits and grilling stations, sand and water volleyball courts and a basketball court. The property will undergo a $2.7 million renovation this spring.
Warehouse and Factory Apartments at Northgate is a 169-unit mid-rise property located within one mile of Texas A&M’s campus. The unit mix offers fully-furnished studios and one- to four-bedroom apartments. The interiors boast brick walls, stained concrete floors, granite countertops, up to 10-foot ceilings, exposed piping and oversized windows. Common area amenities have been recently renovated and feature two pools with sun deck and grilling area, new fitness center, new game room and clubhouse and an adjacent parking garage. A $1.4 million renovation is scheduled for this spring.
“These projects are a perfect complement to our existing presence in San Antonio and College Station. The fact that we were awarded management is a direct result of Peak’s proven ability to perform in these markets. We look forward to bringing that same level of high execution at both The Reserve and Warehouse and Factory,” Casey Petersen, COO at Peak Campus, said in a prepared statement.
