Philadelphia—Avison Young announced that Jim Pasquarella has joined the firm as senior vice president for capital markets in Philadelphia. In his new role, Pasquarella will focus on expanding the firm’s investment sales business in Philadelphia and its multimarket collaborations.

John Kevill, principal in the D.C. office, said Pasquarella is a good fit because he understands market dynamics, anticipates risks and identifies the best ways to drive value for clients.

Pasquarella has been actively involved in commercial real estate since 2002. He joined from CBRE, where he was vice president of investment sales and advised on deals totaling 20 million square feet and more than $1 billion in value.

Pasquarella holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation and is a licensed associate broker in Pennsylvania and a licensed broker-salesperson in New Jersey. He is a graduate of Denison University.

The Canadian-owned firm opened its Philadelphia office in September 2013 as part of the firm’s US expansion strategy. In May 2015, it acquired Remington Group Inc., which was rebranded as Avison Young.
