Affirm, a financial technology company, signed an 86,225-square-foot, eight-year lease at 650 California St. in San Francisco, bringing the occupancy of the building to 89 percent. Expected to relocate its headquarters from 633 Folsom St. in August, the new tenant will use floors eight through 12, as well as the annex of the building.
In recent years, the 478,392-square-foot, Class A facility, owned by Columbia Property Trust, underwent a series of renovation and remodeling processes that included upgrades to the main lobby and the construction of a new café and tenant lounge. The LEED Green building also features an on-site concierge service, on-site valet parking, fitness and conference centers. Over the past ten months, the company has completed approximately 200,000 square feet of leasing at the property. Two months ago, WeWork signed a lease for the fourth through seventh floors.
Columbia Property Trust acquired the 33-story building in 2014 from Tishman Speyer for $309 million. Tenants at 650 California St. include Credit Suisse, Fitch Ratings and Textainer Equipment Management.
