New Abilene Shopping Center to Open Next Year
Prestige Development Group will build a 171,027-square-foot ground up retail center in Abilene, Texas. The company preleased more than 140,000 square feet at the property.

Prestige Development Group will start construction work on The Shops at Abilene Village, a shopping center in Abilene, Texas. The 171,027-square-foot ground up retail center will feature restaurants, small and anchor retails. The commercial retail developer is set to break ground on the property this spring. Completion and opening are scheduled for next year.
The Shops at Abilene Village, located at 3550 S Clack St., will be replacing the McGavock Nissan Dealership near Abilene Mall and The Shops of Abilene. The new shopping center has preleased more than 140,000 square feet. Tenants will include Academy Sports + Outdoors, Burlington Stores and Petco. Academy Sports + Outdoors will be relocating to a 72,000-square-foot location, while Burlington and Petco will occupy 40,000 and 14,000 square feet, respectively.
The new retail center, one of the four projects Prestige is currently developing in Texas, is expected to create more than 60 permanent jobs.
