Cushman & Wakefield announced that Big Eddy Commerce Center, a Class A industrial project currently under construction, has preleased 94,076 square feet of the total 153,387 square feet. The property, situated in Gresham, Ore., near Portland, has been leased to an undisclosed Fortune 500 company. Panattoni Development Co. Inc. and LaSalle Investment Management owned and developed the property. Brad Carnese, Aaron Watt and Keegan Clay with Cushman & Wakefield’s Portland office represented ownership in the transaction.

Big Eddy Commerce Center will be a highly efficient industrial building and will be located along NE Riverside Parkway, within Portland’ Airport Way submarket and in close proximity to Portland International Airport and major West Coast thoroughfare Interstate 5. The property will also be close to Southshore, a 230-acre business park development.

“We secured a tremendous lead tenant for this new, exciting project, while the transaction represents another substantial industrial lease in our market. We also continue to actively talk with even more prospective tenants on the remaining 58,000 vacant square feet the building offers,” Senior Director Carnese said, in a statement.

Construction of the development should wrap up by the end of the year. Recently, the company was elected to lease 1,536,456 square feet of mixed-use buildings in Clifton, N.J.
