MGM Resorts Taps New SVP
The former Wynn Resorts’ vice president of corporate finance will bring more than 20 years of financial experience to the company. Strawn will be based at the firm's Las Vegas office and will report directly to MGM Design and Development President Bill Ham.
MGM Resorts International appointed Mark Strawn as senior vice president & chief administration officer of the company’s design and development wing. Strawn will be based at the firm’s Las Vegas office and will report directly to MGM Design and Development President Bill Ham.
In his new role, Strawn will provide strategic leadership and financial supervision for capital improvement projects, as well as oversight for the development of new MGM Resorts worldwide. He has more than 20 years of financial experience, having worked for Wynn Resorts from 2013 to 2017, where he served as vice president of corporate finance. While at Wynn Resorts, he was responsible for creating and maintaining financial models, conducting market analysis and assessing new development opportunities.
Throughout his career, he also served as executive director of equity research for Morgan Stanley in New York from 2009 to 2013 and as vice president of finance for Las Vegas Sands Corp. from 2004 to 2009. Strawn earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan in 1999.
