Cambria Hotels Expands to Napa, CA

Following Cambria Hotels’ debut in California last month, the brand continues its expansion with a new property in Napa, Calif., anticipated to open in 2019. Choice Hotels International Inc. signed an agreement with franchise partner Stratus Development Partners LLC to develop the four-story, 90-key property.

Located at 320 Soscol Ave. and the main thoroughfare into downtown Napa, the Cambria Hotel Napa will be in the heart of California’s wine country with immediate access to local attractions like the Napa Wine Train, downtown Napa, Oxbow Public Market and the Silverado Trail. Hotel amenities will include flexible meeting space and a fitness center. The property will be less than a mile from Napa State Hospital and a little more than a mile from Napa Valley College. The property will be 46 miles from San Francisco and has easy access to three major international airports.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing another Cambria property to California, as the brand continues to expand to the West Coast. The Napa property will be our second Cambria in the region and is the second project with our partners at Stratus Development Partners LLC,” said Janis Cannon, senior vice president, upscale brands at Choice Hotels, in prepared remarks.

In January, Stratus also partnered with the hotel brand for the Cambria Sonoma franchise. As of March 31, 2017, 795 hotels were in the development pipeline of Choice Hotels to add to its approximately 6,500 hotels franchised in more than 40 countries and territories. Stratus Development Partners LLC has entitled, developed, built, renovated and redeveloped more than 26 communities representing 2,771 units in core markets of California in the past 18 years.
