Single-Tenant Net Lease Volume Down in 1Q

Single-tenant net lease transaction volume hit $12.9 billion in the first quarter of 2017, down from $18.8 billion in last year's fourth quarter, according to Real Capital Analytics data.

Single-tenant net lease transaction volume took a dip in the first-quarter of 2017, totaling $12.9 billion, down from $18.8 billion in fourth-quarter 2016, according to Real Capital Analytics data. The office sector posted the highest deal volume ($4.9 billion) at the end of the quarter, followed by industrial ($4.1 billion) and retail ($4.0 billion). This slowdown in volume seems to be continuing, with second-quarter 2017 transaction volume totaling just $1.6 billion as of April 30. So far this quarter, single-tenant deal volume is highest in the industrial sector with $614.6 million, followed by office ($535.9 million) and retail ($456.9 million).
