Skanska Plans $84M Hotel in Stockholm

The 503-key hotel will be adjacent to the Arlanda Airport in Stockholm, Sweden. The company will kick off construction in August and the property is expected to come online by the end of 2019.

Skanska entered into an agreement with Swedavia to build a hotel adjacent to the Arlanda Airport in Stockholm, Sweden. The $84 million contract will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the third quarter of 2017.

Largest Nordic airport hotel

The 503-key hotel will total 215,278 square feet distributed across 14 floors, making the building the largest airport hotel in the Nordic countries. Additionally, the property will offer a combined lobby and lounge, restaurant, bar and a conservatory. Nordic Choice Hotels, which already established the Clarion Hotel at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, will run the hotel, overseeing all management aspects. The building is designed in accordance with the BREEAM environmental certification system.

Construction of the hotel is scheduled to commence in August and the project is expected to be completed during the fourth quarter of 2019.
