Cohesity, a computer data storage company, signed a 40,000-square-foot lease on the seventh and eighth floors of the second building of River Park Tower in San Jose, Calif. The firm is relocating from Santa Clara, where it occupies 14,000 square feet, and is expected to move in the new space in the fourth quarter of this year.

First LEED Certified building

Located at 300 Park Ave., the 302,576-square-foot, Class A office building offers easy access to Guadalupe and Joseph P. Sinclair freeways. Constructed in 2009, the property became the first LEED Certified building in San Jose a year later. Owned and managed by SteelWave, the 16-story property features a conference center, bike share program, fitness center and more than 650 parking spaces. Additionally, the two-building asset also features a central courtyard with seating and fountains, as well as electric vehicle charging stations. Tenants at River Park Tower II include Xactly, California Bank of Commerce and Intacct Corp.

“Our new, expanded workplace provides an opportunity to build on our unique corporate culture, improve operational efficiencies and expand internal communications,” Cohesity Head of Human Resources Nicole Rasco, said in prepared remarks.

Savills Studley’s Joe Brady and Mike Mordaunt arranged the lease on behalf of Cohesity. Additionally, the two also negotiated a short-term expansion for the firm’s Santa Clara office. Earlier this month, Savills Studley also brokered the sale of a 150,000-square-foot Washington, D.C., office building.
