Curio Collection Opens First Hotel in Rome

The Aleph Rome Hotel joined the Curio Collection by Hilton, after an extensive restoration process. The renovations focused on blending Roman charm with contemporary features, while preserving historical treasures, including authentic Cipollino marble. 

The property, located at Via di San Basilio 15, was acquired by Al Rayyan Tourism Investment Co. (ARTIC) in early 2015 and marks the first hotel in Rome and the second in Italy to join the Curio Collection. 

Hotel Highlights

The 88-key Aleph Rome offers 14 suites with high ceilings, Italian furniture and marble flooring. Amenities include a rooftop swimming pool with views of the city, a wellness spa, a fitness center, an indoor pool, a 1,296-square-foot meeting room with a 100-guest capacity, a private fifth floor suite that can accommodate eight guests, bicycle rental, a solarium and five dining options including the 1930s Restaurant, Cognac Lounge, ONYX Lobby Lounge and Bar, Sky Blu Rooftop Restaurant and the Sky Blu Pool Terrace. 

 “We are very proud of this property which has undergone substantial renovation and restoration work to transform it into one of Rome’s most distinctive and iconic hotels,” said Sheikh Mohammad Bin Faisal Al Thani, vice chairman of ARTIC, in prepared remarks. “This project reflects ARTIC’s strategy to add value to its portfolio properties, enhancing their growth and development and increasing the returns on our investments. We are confident that Aleph Rome Hotel will be another long-term successful investment and another step in strengthening our position as a growing international hotel investment group.”

The hotel is in close proximity to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Villa Borghese, as well as near the Barberini metro station, between Via Veneto and Piazza Barberini. Earlier this month, the Curio Collection also added the historic Hotel del Coronado in California to its portfolio.
