National Resources Snags Former IBM Campus
The company purchased the land from GlobalFoundries, which will continue to own 160 of the 300 acres the property sits on, while leasing building space from NRE.

National Resources (NRE) purchased the former IBM East Campus in Fishkill, N.Y., from GlobalFoundries.
The 300-acre site comprises 2 million square feet of buildings and is set to become one of NRE’s signature i.Park’s, a branded mixed-use tech/flex redevelopment that features retail, residential and hotel space.
GlobalFoundries will continue to own 160 acres of land, where it manufacturers its 300 mm wafer, and will lease several buildings from NRE. IBM and eMagin will lease offices, laboratories and clean rooms. Several bay spaces will be leased to new users, while build-to-suit warehouses have been designed for distribution and fulfillment centers.
Business plan
Over the past six months, NRE has worked with Think Dutchess Alliance for Business, Empire State Development, Dutchess County Executive’s Office and the Town of East Fishkill to prepare the site for zoning and parcel subdivision for its planned facilities.
“The business plan is to take advantage of the $1 billion in infrastructure that currently exists at the site and provide new warehouse distribution opportunities in the I-84 corporate growth corridor. The skilled workforce in the area should be a major attraction for employers,” said Joseph Cotter, president of NRE, in prepared remarks.
Current and past projects of NRE include i.Park Hudson in Yonkers, N.Y.; i.Park Norwalk in Norwalk, Conn.; and i.Park Lake Success in Long Island, N.Y.
