The total number of employed people increased by 1.2 percent or 1,795 people from November 2016 to November 2017, while total unemployment decreased by 11.0 percent, or 780 people. Year-over-year, the largest change in employment was in the Farming, Fishing and Forestry occupations, which gained by 16.5 percent. Following that, the next increases were in Production (5.2 percent) and Construction and Extraction (5 percent). For unemployment, the most significant change was in the Production occupation with a 34.3 percent decrease, followed by Farming, Fishing and Forestry (34.2 percent decrease) and Production, Transportation and Material Moving (15.5 percent decrease). The overall unemployment rate total has declined by 11.4 percent year-over-year.
