C&W Secures HQ Relocation Leases in Ft. Lauderdale
The C&W team of Jeff Holding, A.J. Belt and Christina Stine negotiated leases totaling 12,927 square feet of office space on behalf of tenants Marksman Security and Outer Reef Yachts.

Cushman & Wakefield has negotiated two headquarters relocation leases in uptown Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The company also secured top-of-building signage for the tenants, Marksman Security and Outer Reef Yachts.
The C&W team of Executive Director Jeff Holding, Senior Director A.J. Belt and Associate Christina Stine negotiated the leases totaling 12,927 square feet. Both tenants are relocating in-market.
Committed tenants
Marksman Security, a private security firm specializing in customized commercial and residential security services, agreed to occupy 9,527 square feet at Commercial Place I—almost double the space it currently occupies at 1700 NW 49th St. The company is expected to move 35 employees into the new space in March 2018.
Located at 3230 W. Commercial Blvd., the newly-leased space is part of Commercial Place I & II, a 175,433-square-foot office complex built in 1999. JLL Senior Vice President Sandra Andersen represented landlord Brookwood Financial Partners in the negotiations.
“While reviewing viable relocation options throughout Fort Lauderdale’s uptown business district, our team was able to provide Marksman three viable office solutions that all offered major building signage. Ultimately, Commercial Place proved to be their top choice,” Belt said in prepared remarks.
Outer Reef Yachts signed a 3,400-square-foot lease at 2601 E. Oakland Park Blvd., an office building totaling 59,878 square feet. The company specializing in the manufacture, sale and maintenance of long-range motor yachts was previously located in the Portside Yachting Center at 1850 SE 17th St.
Keith Graves, senior vice president at Berger Commercial, worked on behalf of landlord 2601 M L Fund LLC in the lease negotiations.
“With the pending demolition of Portside to allow for the planned expansion of the Convention Center and adjacent hotel, Outer Reef desired the option of building signage for their new office in east Fort Lauderdale. This is a needle in the haystack for a 3,000-square-foot office user,” explained Belt.
