The Mele Group of Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of Bay Area Mini Storage, a 95,479-rentable-square-foot facility in Corpus Christi, Texas. The firm marketed the property on behalf of the seller, a limited liability company, as well as the buyer, a private investor.
Located at 2301 Rodd Field Road, the property is close to Texas Highway 358. Originally built in 2003, Bay Area Mini Storage continued expanding in 2006, 2014 and 2016, in response to the increasing population of the city. The seven-building facility comprises 635 climate- and non-climate-controlled units, ranging from 10 to 1500 square feet. Features of the property include drive-up access, security cameras and RV parking options.
“As South Texas continues its population boom, Corpus Christi has emerged as a major destination for migration. More importantly, this property was located in the heart of new, single-family and multifamily housing developments in Corpus Christi,” said Jon Danklefs, investment specialist at Marcus & Millichap, in prepared remarks.
The brokerage team included Danklefs and Michael Mele. In December 2017, Marcus & Millichap arranged the sale of a 44,000-square-foot self-storage asset in Romeoville, Ill.
