The total number of employed people from December 2017 to December 2018 increased by 1.9 percent (2,879,000 people) while the total number of unemployed people decreased by 4 percent (249,000 people). Year-over-year, the largest difference for employment was in the Transportation and Material Moving occupations with an increase of 5.9 percent. The Production, Transportation and Material Moving occupations followed with a rise of 3.9 percent, while the Farming, Fishing and Forestry occupations gained 3.7 percent. For unemployment, the most significant decrease was in the Farming, Fishing and Forestry occupations, which experienced a decline of 26.7 percent. Rounding out the top three were the Production occupations decreasing 20.7 percent and the Production, Transportation and Material Moving occupations going down 13.8 percent. The overall unemployment rate total dropped 5.1 percent year-over-year.

The total number of employed people from November 2017 to November 2018 increased by 1.8 percent (2,835,000 people), while the total number of unemployed people decreased by 10.1 percent (636,000 people). Year-over-year, the largest difference for employment was in the Transportation and Material Moving occupations with an increase of 6.4 percent. Following that was the Production, Transportation and Material Moving occupations with a rise of 3.9 percent and the Professional and Related occupations going up 2.1 percent. For unemployment, the most significant decrease was in the Transportation and Material Moving occupations with a decline of 26.4 percent. Rounding out the top three were the Construction and Extraction occupations going down 21.3 percent and the Installation, Maintenance and Repair occupations decreasing 19.6 percent. The overall unemployment rate total dropped 10.3 percent year-over-year.

Year-over-year, the largest difference for employment was in the Transportation and Material Moving occupations with an increase of 5.8 percent. The Production, Transportation and Material Moving occupations followed with a rise of 4.9 percent, while the Construction and Extraction occupations gained 4.6 percent. For unemployment, the most significant decrease was in the Installation, Maintenance and Repair occupations, which experienced a decline of 49.1 percent. Rounding out the top three were the Natural Resources, Construction and Maintenance occupations decreasing 24.6 percent, and the Construction and Extraction occupations going down 19.2 percent. The overall unemployment rate total dropped 10.3 percent year-over-year.

The total number of employed people from September 2017 to September 2018 increased by 1.1 percent (1,697,000 people), while the total number of unemployed people decreased by 12.1 percent (790,000 people). Year-over-year, the largest difference for employment was in the Construction and Extraction occupations with a rise of 7.0 percent. Following that was the Natural Resources, Construction and Maintenance occupations increasing by 5.3 percent and the Production occupations going up by 4.3 percent. For unemployment, the most significant decrease was in the Farming, Fishing and Forestry occupations with a decline of 50.5 percent. Rounding out the top three were the Installation, Maintenance and Repair occupations with a drop of 44.4 percent, and Office and Administration Support decreasing by 25.9 percent. The overall unemployment rate total dropped 12.2 percent year-over-year in September.

The total number of employed people from August 2017 to August 2018 increased by 1.3 percent (1,963,000 people), while the total number of unemployed people decreased by 12.6 percent (917,000 people). Year-over-year, the largest difference for employment was in Production occupations with an increase of 5.4 percent. Following that was Professional and Related occupations with a rise of 4.2 percent, and Production, Transportation and Material Moving up 3.5 percent. For unemployment, the most significant decrease was in Production occupations with a 34.8 percent decline. Rounding out the top three were Construction and Extraction occupations down 31.3 percent and Installation, Maintenance and Repair occupations dropping 26 percent. The overall unemployment rate total declined 13.3 percent year-over-year.

Year-over-year, the largest difference for employment was in the Transportation and Material Moving occupations with an increase of 8.9 percent. Following that was the Installation, Maintenance and Repair occupations with an increase of 7.4 percent, while Production, Transportation and Material Moving occupations recorded gains of 4.4 percent. Year-over-year, the largest difference for employment was in the Transportation and Material Moving occupations with an increase of 7.1 percent. Year-over-year, the largest difference for employment was the 5.5 percent increase in the Construction and Extraction occupations. The total number of employed people increased by 1.9 percent or 2,809,000 people from February 2017 to February 2018, while the total number of unemployed people decreased by 10.1 percent or 796,000 people during the same interval of time. Year-over-year, the largest employment change was registered by the Construction and Extraction occupations with a 6.5 percent increase, followed by gains in Farming, Fishing and Forestry (5.2 percent) and Natural Resources, Construction and Maintenance and Transportation and Material Moving, both with a 4.5 percent increase. For unemployment, the most significant decrease was in the Installation, Maintenance and Repair occupation with 31.0 percent, followed by Production (28.0 percent decrease) and Production, Transportation and Material Moving (19.7 percent decrease). The overall unemployment rate total has dropped 10.2 percent year-over-year in February.

Total employed increased by 1.5 percent or 2,321,000 people from January 2017 to January 2018, while the total number of unemployed people decreased by 11.8 percent, or 960,000 people. The Construction and Extraction category posted the most significant change, gaining 8.4 percent year-over-year in January, followed by the Farming, Fishing and Forestry segment (7.0 increase) and the Professional and Related occupations (5.1 increase). For unemployment, the most significant decrease was in the Production occupations, which dropped by 28.1 percent, followed by the Management, Business and Financial segment (20.3 decrease) and the Office and Administrative Support category (16.6 percent decrease). The overall unemployment rate total dropped by 11.8 percent year-over-year in January.

Total employment increased by 1.2 percent or 1,804,000 people from December 2016 to December 2017 increased, while total unemployment decreased by 12.4 percent, or 892,000 people. Year-over-year, the largest difference for employment was in the Farming, Fishing and Forestry occupations, which gained 19.5 percent. The Construction and Extraction segment increased by 5.2 percent, and the Natural Resources, Construction and Maintenance occupations gained 4.7 percent. For unemployment, the most significant decrease was in the Production occupations, which dropped by 22.8 percent, followed by Production, Transportation and Material Moving (21.1 percent decline) and Sales and Related occupations (18.4 percent decline). The overall unemployment rate dropped 13.3 percent year-over-year in December.
