DoubleTree by Hilton has opened a 309-key hotel outside of Burlington, Vt., following the completion of significant renovation work. Previously operating under the Sheraton flag, the DoubleTree by Hilton Burlington Vermont is owned by RLJ Lodging Trust. The property includes 30,000 square feet of conference and event space, which is currently being upgraded. The work is anticipated to wrap up by the third quarter of 2018.

Located at 870 Williston Road in South Burlington, Vt., the five-story building is situated at the intersection of Interstate 89 and U.S. Route 2, allowing for easy access into and around Burlington. Guest amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, a 24-hour fitness center, an indoor swimming pool, on-site parking and a free shuttle service to reach any destination within two miles of the hotel—enabling guests to reach Burlington’s airport and city center. Two restaurants, G’s Restaurant and Tuckaways Pub, are also located within the building. The property sits within one mile of the University of Vermont and is adjacent to University Mall, an indoor shopping center featuring 80 stores and restaurants.

The opening of this hotel occurs during a global expansion of the flag. Last year, a DoubleTree of a similar size opened for business after significant renovations in Hollywood, Fla.
