Choice Hotels Brings Cambria to Southwest DC
Located in the Buzzard Point neighborhood of Washington, D.C., Cambria Hotel Southwest D.C. will features 154 keys and is slated for completion in 2020.

Following the announcement of the first Cambria hotel coming to Iowa, Choice Hotels International Inc. has signed an agreement with Koucar Management LLC to develop their latest project in Southwest D.C. The property is to join Cambria Hotel Washington, D.C. Convention Center, located in the Shaw neighborhood of the Northwest quadrant, as the company’s second property in the city.
Located at 69 Q St. S.W. in the Buzzard Point neighborhood, the 154-key development is situated in close proximity to the National Park baseball stadium and the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge, while The Navy Yard Metro Station is a 15-minute walk away. Yards Park, a mixed-use project offering retail, dining, office and residential options, is also nearby.
Varied on-site amenities
The nine-story building is scheduled for completion in 2020. Cambria Hotel Southwest D.C. will include:
- rooftop bar
- 2,500 square feet of multi-function meeting space
- fitness center
- parking
- on-site dining
