Scotiabank has signed a lease with Dart Real Estate to occupy 19,000 square feet over two floors in the firm’s 18 Forum Lane building in the Cayman Islands. The bank will operate a digital branch facility—named the Scotia Centre—out of the space. The building, which opened in 2016, features 85,000 square feet of office and retail.
Located at 18 Forum Lane in Camana Bay on the island of Grand Cayman, the four-story structure is part of a 385,000-square-foot Camana Bay mixed-use development just east of the Esterley Tibbetts Highway and less than half a mile from Grand Cayman’s Seven Mile Beach corridor. The property is LEED Gold certified and offers its tenants access to Camana Bay’s amenities, which include structured parking, a fitness center, meeting space and a cinema. Existing tenants in the building include PwC, Advantage Insurance, Brown Brothers Harriman, VivCourt and Hurley’s Media Ltd.
“Camana Bay provides a number of benefits for both our staff and our customers. The new branch provides a central location, free and accessible parking and modern facilities in close proximity to necessary amenities,” said Dwight Burrows, managing director of Scotiabank in the Cayman Islands, in a prepared statement.
