CubeSmart To Open in Chicago
The 65,000-square-foot facility is situated in Chicago's commercial and retail corridor, alongside Touhy Avenue. CubeSmart will manage the property on behalf of the owner, Bloomfield Capital.

SPM Advisors LLC has unveiled the opening of a 65,000-square-foot self-storage facility in Chicago. CubeSmart will manage the asset on behalf of the owner, Bloomfield Capital, according to Yardi Matrix data. The facility will open at the end of April.
Located at 6000 W. Touhy Ave., the 981-unit facility is situated in the city’s commercial and retail corridor, near Freeway 14 and Interstate 94, approximately 20 minutes from downtown Chicago. The area is densely populated, as nearly 179,000 people live in a three-mile radius, with only 3.9-net-rentable-square-foot self-storage space per capita.
“The property is located in an underserved market for self-storage and will be the highest quality and most prominently positioned facility in the area. The unparalleled traffic counts and visibility will be a tremendous advantage for our operations and customers,” said Ian Burnstein, principal at SPM Advisors, in prepared statements.
The building also hosts Athletico Physical Therapy as a tenant.
