CBRE Appoints New Vice Chairmen in NYC
Veterans Ben Friedland and Sacha Zarba have taken up the executive roles after working with the company for more than 15 years.
CBRE has promoted Ben Friedland and Sacha Zarba as its newest vice chairmen. Friedland has also been tapped as co-head of the firm’s Alternative Investments Practice group, focusing on advising private equity firms, hedge funds and other investment firms on their real estate strategies in New York and nationwide. Zarba will represent tenants from the technology, financial and advertising and media industries in Manhattan’s Midtown, Downtown and Midtown South neighborhoods.
“Representing tenants throughout Manhattan, they act as trusted advisors on complex real estate requirements—and many of these prestigious clients are responsible for driving significant change in the dynamics of our city’s real estate,” CBRE President of the Northeast Division Matthew Van Buren said in a prepared statement.
Ben Friedland has joined CBRE 19 years ago. Prior to that, he worked at Grey Group. Friedland’s client portfolio includes Eze Castle Integration, Kepos Capital and Engineer’s Gate and Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners. Zarba entered the company in 2000. He has previously worked with Netflix, PayPal, Pinterest and Salesforce and holds a B.S. from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
