Gumenick Properties has hired Divaris Real Estate to lease the retail component of its Libbie Mill-Midtown mixed-use development in Richmond, Va. Senior Vice Presidents Brett McNamee and Harrison Hall, along with Vice President Peter Vick, will oversee the company’s efforts.

Libbie Mill-Midtown is an 80-acre mixed-use project situated in Henrico County, bordered by Libbie Avenue, Staples Mill Road, Bethlehem Road and West Broad Street. Besides retail, Libbie Mill also comprises office, restaurant, entertainment and multifamily space. Gumenick Properties estimates that, upon full buildout, the property will include more than 1 million square feet of office and retail space. The developer obtained approval for up to 994 homes for sale and 1,096 apartments.

Libbie Mill-Midtown benefits from immediate access to interstates 64 and 195. Downtown Richmond is just under 8 miles away from the project. Some of the largest employers in Richmond’s midtown area include Anthem, Southern States, Genworth, Altria Group, Estes Express Lines and Virginia Commonwealth University.

Divaris is one of the leading retail leasing firms in Richmond. They have longstanding contacts with both local and national retail brokers and retailers, and they have a proven track record of working with retailers that are well-suited for urban mixed-use communities,” said Skip Nash, vice president of property management at Gumenick Properties, in a prepared statement.
