After making the long-awaited headquarter city winner announcement, Amazon continues to expand—nationally and internationally. One Properties and TD Greystone Asset Management are getting ready to break ground on a new industrial facility for Amazon in Edmonton, Alberta. The upcoming property will be developed on 58 acres on the outskirts of the city, within Border Business Park, and will encompass 1 million square feet.

The project will need 700 workers to finalize and, upon completion in early 2020, is expected to provide 600 new jobs. The center will be the second one Amazon opens in Alberta this year, following another warehouse in the Balzac area north of Calgary.

Border Business Park is located on the border of the City of Edmonton and the County of Leduc and spans 500 acres. By the time it will be fully built, the asset is expected to provide more than 5 million square feet of industrial and office space.
