JV Plans New Office Building in Philly Sports Complex
Comcast Spectacor and The Cordish Cos. recently announced that they will build Pattison Place, a 200,000-square-foot premier asset adjacent to their Xfinity Live! mixed-use complex.
A joint venture between Comcast Spectacor and The Cordish Cos. is expanding its footprint near Xfinity Live! with the addition of Pattison Place, an $80 million office project. The owner selected Beyer Blinder Belle and BLT Architects to handle the design plans for the upcoming Class A building.
Upon completion, the development will encompass 200,000 square feet of space. The building will feature a 4,000-square-foot lobby with expansive 35-foot ceiling heights, 20,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, 12-foot ceiling heights, exterior signage, roof decks, fitness facilities and on-site parking.
Poised for growth
The property is expected to bring 1,670 new jobs to the area, as well as generate $295 million in economic benefits to the city and state over the next 30 years.
Pattison Place will be erected adjacent to Xfinity Live!, a dining, entertainment and hospitality hub. Since its opening in 2012, the development rejuvenated the neighborhood through various events and community activities. Located in the midst of the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, which houses Philadelphia’s professional sports teams, the property will also be minutes away from the Navy Yard.
Last year, The Cordish Cos. delivered a two-level collaborative space in Kansas City.
“Pattison Place presents a unique and compelling opportunity in the Sports Complex and builds on the continued success of Xfinity Live!. We’re looking forward to making additional announcements as our growing neighborhood expands in new and exciting directions,” Comcast Spectacor Chairman & CEO Dave Scott said in a prepared statement.
