Dual-Branded Marriott Opens in Knoxville
The Courtyard and Residence Inn Knoxville Downtown totals 232 keys and features joint amenities including a fitness center, meeting space and a terrace.
Marriott International Inc. has opened its dual-branded hotel in Knoxville, Tenn. The Courtyard and Residence Inn Knoxville Downtown comprises a 144-key Courtyard by Marriott and an 88-key Residence Inn. The properties are owned and managed by Paramount Hospitality Management.
Located at 210 West Church Ave., the hotels are situated in the heart of downtown, offering convenient access to the University of Tennessee, the Knoxville Convention Center, Neyland Stadium, Market Square and several retail, dining and shopping options. Guests at either property have access to shared amenities including a fitness center, 784 square feet of meeting space that accommodates up to 126 people, and a terrace with fire pit and barbecue grills.
“Attracting both business and leisure travelers, the downtown Knoxville area is an ideal location for this dual opening,” said Janis Milham, senior vice president, Classic Select Brands for Marriott International, in a prepared statement. “Each brand offers distinct amenities and services that tailor to all visitors.”
Paramount’s General Manager Mike Sellge and Director of Sales Ruth Lyons lead the management team for both hotels.
Separate hotel features
The Courtyard Knoxville Downtown rooms feature zones for working, relaxation and sleep, including a Refreshing Business lobby, where they can have a space outdoors from their rooms. Additional features include a luggage drop to store bags, a tech drop to charge personal devices, media pods, seating zones and free Wi-Fi. Guests also have access to The Bistro—Eat. Drink. Connect dining area and a business library.
The Residence Inn Knoxville Downtown offers extended-stay studio and one-bedroom suites. Features include a fully-equipped kitchen, separate work space and free Wi-Fi. Amenities include complimentary breakfast, grocery delivery services, public lounge spaces, a 24-hour market, onsite guest laundry and dry cleaning services.
Additional Dual-Branded Assets
Earlier this month, Meridian Capital Group arranged $41.8 million in construction financing for a two-flagged Element and Aloft Hotel in Orlando. Additionally, last October, a dual-branded Courtyard by Marriott and Residence Inn property opened in St. Louis, comprising 211-keys.
