Greenspace Holdings has acquired a 40,000-square-foot industrial asset in Houston from Helen Gordon Interests. The property used to serve as a printing facility for local firm Greensheet. The new owner intends to develop a self storage facility on a portion of the 6.2-acre site.

Principals Todd Mason and Jeff Lindenberger, together with Senior Associates Richard Mason and Taylor Wilson from Avison Young’s Houston office, were part of the team that represent the seller in the disposition.

Located at 1690 N. Loop W., the property is adjacent to the intersection between interstates 610 and 45 and is less than 5 miles of downtown Houston. According to Harris County Assessor, the asset includes a 24,308-square-foot warehouse built in 2005 and a 15,662-square-foot distribution warehouse completed in 1998.

“This space was the printing complex for the Greensheet for 20 years and it is adjacent to the nearly 80-year-old Houston Farmers Market. The renovations that are underway in this area will have a positive impact on the community for generations to come,” added Wilson, in prepared remarks.

Recently, another Avison Young team worked on behalf of Sonny’s Enterprises and MRC Express Inc. in three industrial lease transactions totaling roughly 90,000-square-foot in Broward County.
