Cybersecurity company Forcepoint Federal has inked a 46,397-square-foot lease at Monument II in Herndon, Va. The owner, Washington REIT, acquired the 208,000-square-foot asset in 2007 for $78.2 million, according Yardi Matrix data.
Partner & Regional Director Scott Rabin together with Vice President Todd McManus from EDGE Commercial Real Estate worked on behalf of the owner. Additionally, Principals Nate Krill and Will Harrison of Avison Young represented the tenant in the deal.
Located at 12950 Worldgate Drive within the Worldgate Centre mixed-use business complex, the LEED Certified, eight-story building is less than 1 mile from Dulles Toll Road and less than 5 miles from Dulles International Airport. The roster of other tenants at the property includes Technik Inc., MicroTek and Software AG Government Solutions, per Yardi Matrix data. Amenities at the building comprises covered parking, several restaurant options, a hotel and a fitness center.
Recently, Stein Sperling Bennett De Jong Driscoll signed a 42,206-square-foot lease at The Tower Cos.’ The Tower Building in Rockville, Md. In this transaction, another team from EDGE Commercial Real Estate worked on behalf of the tenant, while Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord.
