Avison Young Adds Global Director of Research
Nick Axford joins the firm from CBRE, where he served in a similar position for more than five years. He will oversee global research operations across all asset classes.
After adding a principal in February, Avison Young has hired Nick Axford as principal & global director of research, a newly created position in the London office. In his new role, Axford will oversee the firm’s research operations including data analysis and forecast offerings across all asset classes and service lines. He will work closely with the company’s national researchers to provide interpreted data and insight into the key market trends around the world.
Axford brings 29 years of industry experience, 24 of them being with CBRE. Most recently, he was CBRE’s global head of research, a position he occupied since 2013. During his tenure, he acted as the research leader for the U.K., EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Asia-Pacific.
Axford holds a Ph.D. degree in economic geography and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in geography from the University of Southampton. He also obtained a diploma in surveying with distinction from the University of Reading’s College of Estate Management. He is an active member of CoreNet and the Society of Property Researchers.
