Mechanical, Electrical Contractor Relocates HQ Near New Orleans
Bernhard is set to occupy 38,500 square feet on the eighth floor of the 420,566-square-foot, LEED-certified The Galleria in Metairie, La.
The Feil Org. has announced it is welcoming mechanical and electrical contractor Bernhard to its 420,566-square-foot The Galleria office building in Metairie, La., early next year. The tenant will occupy 38,500 square feet on the eighth floor of the LEED-certified property, relocating its national headquarters and roughly 250 employees based in several locations in the city. The company is expecting to add hundreds of additional indirect jobs in the energy and technology sectors.
Located at 1 Galleria Blvd. in a dense residential area, the 22-story building is adjacent to Interstate 10, within walking distance of several restaurants and hotels, while downtown New Orleans is less than 8 miles southeast. Completed in 1986 and renovated in 2008, the asset includes common-area amenities such as a sundries shop, a fitness center and food services. According to Yardi Matrix information, the other tenant at the asset is coworking company Regus.
Jeff Cohn of Corporate Realty, together with Colette Wharton of The Feil Org., represented the owner. Mike Siegel of the same brokerage company worked on behalf of the tenant.
The new lease comes less than two months after the FBI built-to-suit office building traded in New Orleans. Easterly Government Properties Inc., of Washington, D.C., bought the 137,679-square-foot asset.
