Aviation Company Expands HQ at South Florida Business Park
International Aircraft Associates added more than 22,000 square feet to its current space at Miramar Park of Commerce, the 5 million-square-foot business complex in Broward County.
International Aircraft Associates has expanded its corporate headquarters by 22,664 square feet, bringing its total footprint to 60,329 square feet in the Miramar Park of Commerce in Miramar, Fla. Sunbeam Properties Vice President Maridee Bell, together with Leasing Associate Lauren Pace, represented the landlord.
IAA, headquartered at 10875 Marks Way, is taking up the extra space at 2753 N. Commerce Parkway, a 214,048-square-foot property constructed in 1997, according to Broward County records. Miramar Park of Commerce, the largest locally owned and managed business park in South Florida, encompasses more than 5 million square feet of office, laboratory, pharmacy, light manufacturing and distribution space.
The park—home to more than 10,000 employees from more than 180 national and international companies in southwest Broward County—is equidistant from Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Miramar Park of Commerce is adjacent to the Florida Turnpike and near the Red Road Interchange. Downtown Miramar is 2 miles west, while Miami International Airport is within a 30-minute drive.
According to Bell, aviation-related companies take up more than 400,000 square feet of space at Miramar Park of Commerce. The tenant roster includes Spirit Airlines, the eighth largest commercial airline in North America, as well as 1st Choice Aerospace, Becker Avionics, DMS Aircraft Services, Ocean Air, Sunshine Avionics, Turbine Controls MRO and United Aerospace Corp.
In May, Acordis Technology & Solutions relocated its corporate headquarters to Miramar Park of Commerce. The IT solutions provider more than doubled its previous location.
