CP Group has begun rolling out its flexible office program, “worCPlaces,” at the company’s Lakeside Office Park and One and Two Ravinia in Atlanta.

The worCPlaces program will be overseen by Brendan McGee, who recently joined CP Group from TechSpace Inc., an Industrious company. In all, McGee has more than 20 years of experience in co-working and office leasing.

The rollout—by Georgia’s second-largest office landlord—includes:

  • Twelve spec suites, from 1,800 to 9,700 square feet, at One and Two Ravinia, the twin 17-story office buildings acquired by CP Group last year.
  • Ten spec suites, from 1,400 square feet to 4,600 square feet, and a newly completed co-working space, in a stand-alone, two-story building at Lakeside Office Park, a five-building, 406,000-square-foot office in the Central Perimeter submarket.

These customized workspaces feature digitally reservable meeting spaces, shared communal servery and open lounge for break-out space and team functions, secured entry 24/7/365 days a year, as well as surface parking and covered parking.

CBRE’s Eric Ross, Sabrina Gibson and Stewart Thrash will serve as leasing agents for the suites at both locations.

In a prepared statement, Gibson noted that these prebuilt spaces can “reduce the friction of finding a new office.”

The worCPlaces offering was initially designed in collaboration with Gensler, later joined by ASD | Sky.

Here to stay

The worCPlaces program was first announced last year, and suites reportedly are under construction across the CP Group portfolio and in a majority of the firm’s Atlanta holdings, including Bank of America Plaza, the 55-story, 1.3 million-square-foot office tower in Midtown Atlanta, acquired by CP Group earlier this year. The company has 100,000 square feet of worCPlaces spec suites planned there, ranging from 3,000 square feet to 25,000 square feet.

WorCPlaces are also planned for CP Group’s Cumberland Center II and 3225 Cumberland, both in the Cumberland/Galleria submarket, and for Paces West, in the historic Vinings neighborhood.

Earlier this month, JLL released a new report on a survey of more than 1,100 global CRE executives on the future of flexible and the hybrid workplace.

A clear majority of survey respondents think that while offices remain critical for businesses, hybrid work is becoming permanent—and is crucial to attracting and retaining talent. Investing in quality space is seen as a higher priority than expanding the overall footprint.
