KDC to Break Ground on $200M Dallas Office Project
Upon completion, Parkside Uptown will total nearly 500,000 square feet.
KDC is planning to commence construction on the Parkside Uptown tower in Dallas this spring, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration.
The locally based firm will break ground on the first phase of the project, which will cost $200 million, on May 15. Completion is expected by July 14, 2026.
KDC’s podium-style tower will top out at 30 floors and include Class A office space from the 12th story upward, while the ground floor will host retail and restaurant facilities. The high-rise will include seven levels of underground parking and 10 levels of above-grade parking.
While the first phase of the project will total approximately 112,907 square feet, the building’s total square footage is expected to swell to 493,346 square feet upon completion of all future phases.
Parkside Uptown will sit in Klyde Warren Park at 1919 Woodall Rodgers Freeway, where the freeway, also known as Spur 366, intersects with North Harwood Street. The project’s green spaces are designed to integrate the building with the elevated public park, which sits above the freeway. The building’s public spaces will include a rooftop terrace.
Construction on Parkside Uptown was due to begin pending tenant commitments, though the identity of potential tenants could not immediately be learned.
The property was designed by New York-based Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and Dallas-based Corgan.
KDC completed the second phase of a $150 million building for Independent Financial in the Dallas suburb of McKinney, Texas, in 2022. The firm closed an $800 million fund in 2021.
