CF Industries to Relocate Suburban Chicago HQ
The company will occupy two floors at a Class A office campus in Northbrook, Ill.
CF Industries has signed a long-term, 77,863-square-foot lease at 1 Astellas Way, a 432,000-square-foot office campus in Northbrook, Ill., that is owned by Tokyo-based Astellas Pharma Inc. The firm will be relocating its headquarters from 4 Parkway N. in Deerfield, Ill., to occupy two floors at the property’s south building.
The relocation is expected to take place before the end of the year. JLL Senior Managing Director Daniel McCarthy and Associate Broker Sophia Spinell negotiated on behalf of the tenant.
Earlier this year, another JLL team facilitated an office lease nearby. AIT Worldwide Logistics signed a 56,808-square-foot commitment at a 490,000-square-foot tower in Itasca, Ill.
A suburban Chicago office property
Built in 2010, 1 Astellas Way consists of two six-story buildings. The LEED Gold-certified asset features a meeting space with capacity to host up to 400 people, outdoor terraces and a cafeteria, as well as a fitness center and 1,375 parking spots, CommercialEdge shows.
Transwestern exclusively leases and manages the property that will be renamed as 2375 Waterview Drive this April. The leasing team includes Executive Vice Presidents Kyle Robbins and David Burkards, together with Executive Managing Director Andrew Davidson.
Situated on nearly 8 acres, the office campus is just west of Interstate 294. The location is 2 miles from Chicago Executive Airport, 17 miles from Elmhurst, Ill., and within 25 miles of downtown Chicago.
