Franklin Street Inks 100 KSF Richmond-Area Office Lease
A state agency has made a 10-year commitment to the space.
Franklin Street Properties Corp. has leased 100,000 square feet of office space to the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Department of General Services. The institution will be a tenant at Innsbrook Corporate Center in Glen Allen, Va. The agreement carries a term of 10.5 years and is expected to commence in December 2023.
Innsbrook Corporate Center consists of three buildings totaling roughly 298,000 square feet. The assets came online in 1999 on a 26-acre site and were acquired by FSP in 2003, CommercialEdge information shows. The property’s tenant roster includes companies operating in sectors such as transportation, water treatment and professional development, according to the same data provider.
Located at 5600, 5620 and 5640 Cox Road, off Interstate 295, the buildings are some 18 miles from downtown Richmond, Va. Recently, Commonwealth Commercial Partners has been selected to provide leasing services for a 726,000-square-foot portfolio spanning across 11 buildings in the region, seven of which being also situated along Cox Road.
FSP currently owns more than 6.4 million square feet of office space across the U.S., according to CommercialEdge data. The REIT has recently signed a 5-year lease extension with Kaiser Foundation Health Plan for 121,000 square feet at Greenwood Plaza in Englewood, Colo. The previous contract, signed in 2013, was to expire in May 2024, the same data provider shows. Other tenants at the 212,143-square-foot building include AT&T and Bright Horizons.
